I have struggled with my weight my whole life. I have been known as the fat kid/girl/woman. Though I have had success in the past getting fit, I let myself go because of the lure of a relationship that offered fun, travel, and going out to eat and drink daily. I gained 80 pounds and was feeling crushed. I am now menopausal, so the tricks I used before have not worked.
Enter Everself. I have seen the commercial so many times, had 2 consultations, and, a year later, finally had the procedure done in January 2026. I did it to lose weight and get fit, and hopefully in time for my 50th birthday. I am three months post-procedure and have lost 29 pounds! I’m feeling really strong and lean. I finally managed a plank yoga push-up and a full seated spinal twist with my arm hugging my leg. A plank sounds easy, and so does a spinal twist; however, when you’re overweight and have a big stomach, it is so hard to do full yoga poses or hold your body weight, especially with a stomach in the way. I have been adding weights and time to my workouts, and I’m working on an incremental approach to getting fit.
I have a long way to go, but starting somewhere has been key, along with ESG as a tool to help me get to my goal fitness shape/weight/body. I am learning and growing, and I am focused on progress rather than perfection. It’s definitely a journey, and I’m really grateful for all the support from the team along the way.
My advice for everyone is the time is now, start somewhere, and it may be challenging, but if it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you. Trust me, I have been the excuse queen. But I have learned to push the excuses aside and have decided that if I really want something, I should just do it.
